Food Safety Manager Certification

Why you need it:

Because the Health department requires it.

Food Service Manager Certification:

"All managers employed by a food service establishment must have passed an approved test and received a certificate attesting thereto. Managers have a period of 30 days after employment to pass the required test. All public food service establishments must provide the division with proof of food service manager certification upon request, including, but not limited to, at the time of any division inspection of the establishment."

How To Get Certified

Become certified in the following ways:

  1. Food Safety Manager Seminar and 5 year Certfication Exam (DBPR Approved)

    A four-hour Food Safety Seminar is followed by a Food Safety Manager Certification Exam. (DBPR Approved)

  2. Online Food Safety Manager Certification Exam (DBPR Approved)

    This style of testing provides speed, convenience and immediate results. Managers who are sure they can pass the certification test should call 48 hours in advance to schedule an appointment. The test will take place at our Palm Beach Gardens faciility because the test has to be proctored by a Certified Admiinistrator.

  3. Monday Night Intense Refresher and Online Exam

    This Intense Refresher Session is best attended by Certified Food Safety Managers seeking to renew their certification. The Refresher Session runs from 6pm until approx 7:15pm. At that time, the Online Certification Exam will begin. Attendees will be provided with immediate pass/fail results. Cost of this Intense Refresher Session and Online Certification Exam is $120.00.
