Food Safety Manager Certification

Why you need it:

Because the Health department requires it.

Food Service Manager Certification:

"All managers employed by a food service establishment must have passed an approved test and received a certificate attesting thereto. Managers have a period of 30 days after employment to pass the required test. All public food service establishments must provide the division with proof of food service manager certification upon request, including, but not limited to, at the time of any division inspection of the establishment."

How To Get Certified

Become certified in the following ways:

  1. Food Safety Manager Seminar/Exam

    PALM BEACH COUNTY:
    The seminar runs 10:00 AM-3:30 PM & includes two 15-min breaks. Certification Testing begins at 2:00 PM. Please register 4 days prior to test date. Once your payment is received, you will be emailed a registration form & pre-test study package.

    OCALA:
    The seminar runs 11:00 AM- 4:30 PM & includes two 15-min breaks. Certification Testing begins at 3:00 PM. Please register 4 days prior to test date. Once your payment is received, you will be emailed a registration form & pre-test study package.

  2. Online Certification Exam (Proctored)

    This style of testing provides speed, convenience and immediate results. Managers who are sure they can pass the certification test should call 48 hours in advance to schedule an appointment. This method provides the fastest certification.
